Just admiral......with one caveat!

Seek this hotel out for the best of stays. There is nothing to fault in this hotel. From the modern clean and roomy rooms to the very cheery and helpful staff you will struggle to find better service. Whether you use the restaurant just for breakfast or for dinner you will not be disappointed. The menu choice and food quality and quantity is exceptional for such a mid range hotel and is a credit to the standards The Coaching Inn Group adhere to.
However, although the hotel scores greatly in all departments my only criticism is the admittance of dogs into the restaurant area. This practice is creeping into many establishments now and is quite disconcerting for those of us who don't wish to share our environment with dogs. Surely if hotels wish to promote their 'dog friendliness' then they should locate them and their owners in their own reserved space and away from other diners who do not wish to be near them or see them.
This hotel would have easily scored 5☆ from me but for its dog friendly acceptence guidelines and as such I will never give a top rating to any eatery where I have to share my space with dogs.

Nice place.

Living in Lincoln this is a place I’ve been past loads but never been to- but we were attending a party nearby so this was our chance.
We stayed for one night, and paid a very fair price. We didn’t book breakfast. The room was smart, clean and well equipped.
The only negative in the room was the sheets didn’t seem to be big enough so they came untucked with the slightest movement.
Bar area is really nice, staff good and prices reasonable. Car park is free and a good size.
We arrived an hour before check in and knew we wouldn’t be able to check in however we wanted to ask about leaving our car and bags. However reception was unstaffed and had no bell so we were just left standing, which isn’t the best of welcomes- you need at least a sign up so we knew what to do.
Other than this minor points we were pretty happy.

Speedy check in with friendly lady on reception.
Really nice room, great menu and free carpark.
Downside , it’s an old hotel and the floorboards make a right noise.
