Dissappointed by unfriendly staff, dirty room and poor decoration
The room was poorly decorated, the shower door and shower fittings were broken, and the bathroom smelt terrible and made the whole room smell. When we mentioned these problems we were simply told "nobody else has complained about it".
We have two young children and were provided with an additional kids bed and a cot. Later the staff called us to say there had been complaints about the children, and that they do not normally accept children and had done us a favour by accepting our booking. So we should make them be quiet. We had no idea they did not normally accept children (it was not mentioned on the telephone), the price was not cheap, and it was surprising to hear that they had done us a favour! In any case - anyone with young children knows it is impossible to keep them totally silent... but, generally they were well-behaved, quite quiet, they slept all night and did not wake up early.
We found that there was a lot of dust and dirt under the bed, and daily cleaning of the room was very basic. The bin was emptied but the room did not seem to be vacuumed, toiletries were not replinshed, and only the main bed was made.
Breakfast was not bad, but nothing exceptional. It did not match the publicity photos.
Overall we had high expectations but we were disappointed by our experience in Ruzgar and would not return or recommend.

Crazy or Calm
A rather old building built in the 1880's run by a lovely couple Muriel and Nikko.
The breakfast was delicious and the hotel was well maintained.
I was travelling solo. I would recommend going to this hotel and to Alacati with friends or family as it is vibrant and energetic place. I found that I did not have much to enjoy alone as the town was pretty much closed during the day.
Lovely hotel in a crazy location. I suggest this place for couples or small group of friends.
