Complaint - Tourism board - Refund No reply from guestlodge

I was suppose to check in on Sunday 10/03/2024. I booked through Agoda. I couldn't get hold of the guesthouse via phone. I emailed them 3 times no reply. Agoda also struggled to get hold of them - they only received a response today!! I didn't check in as I got lost - couldn't phone in didn't get a reply and then found out via reviews how unsafe it is (I am a single mom with one child). I wanted to cancel Sunday but no one responded even up to today! I am going to lodge a complaint with the tourism board as I want a refund. I can't get hold of anyone. Really never in my life had such bad service! And I work in hospitality!

Not so good as they didn't even accommodate us. They indicated that they don't use Hotels for bookings. I stated arguing even after showing them proof of payment they just refused to accommodate us. I will appreciate to be refunded as I experienced such experience for the first time in my life.

Accommodation was reasonable, the area of location is not the greatest, however, the service compensated for it. I was a bit disturbed by the lack of confidentiality in handling guests personal information. My copy of ID was left lying on the front desk. If it landed in the wrong hands, it will disastrous for the owner.
Rooms were tidy. The breakfast area was not adequately prepared for the number of guests on the day. We had to keep asking for cups, saucers, teaspoons etc.
