As usual, I am always happy with their cleanliness. Since I booked an economy double on their promotion, I was expecting a small double bed in a small room. It turned out to be not so. The bed should be more than 4 feet wide and the room allows us to move around a bit after opening two 24-inch suitcases.
The only dissatisfying fact lies in the breakfast. They only provided triangular rice balls. Although there were different kinds of meat and ingredients, there was still a lack of varieties as compared to the regular buffet breakfast in other toyoko inns. I hope that is not the norm in the T branch.ottori

Preferred bigger room but it doesn’t come with opened unblock view, so room is too small for 2pax.
Saw another new Toyoko Inn hotel opening on 10-10-2024.
Should I come Tottori again, will book the new hotel IF bigger room is with opened unblock view.

Typical Toyoko hotel except a very meager breakfast
Later in our travels in Japan we encountered another Toyoko Inn offering this same meager breakfast, but the rest of the Toyoko Inn hotels we visited had not downgraded yet. I hope this is just a marketing test, but if so it's telling people to choose a different brand hotel.
We've stay perhaps fifty times at Toyoko Inns but now are rethinking our choice. We need an actual breakfast, not just rice balls. Hoping this isn't a trend across the brand.
Other than the meager breakfast this was a typical Toyoko hotel. The hotel is near Tottori Station.
They now have self-service check-in and check-out. It's okay after we learned how to do it, but we still prefer being helped by a human.
