This property is so beautiful and the food at the resturant was fantastic. Our only complaint was the spa, the sauna was great, but the hottub was lukewarm and there was so much chlorine it made our eyes burn and we had to get out almost immediately.
Otherwise a perfect experience!

Tranquility in Tuoro

We were blown away by the beauty of the villa. We loved the indoor pool and the spa experience. Our room was cozy and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was an added treat! I also love that this hotel has an elevator, making it accessible and easy to go up and down with suitcases. I hope to return someday.

A perfect romantic place in an astonishing environment with a great overlook.

A perfect romantic place in an astonishing environment with a great overlook over the nature around and a glimpse of Trasimeno lake. Everything is cared and professional. The spa will be yours and yours alone, it's basic but top notch. Breakfast is local and exquisite, the outside pool is saline and in my case did wonder for my skin, it's sunny in the morning and shady in the afternoon so you can enjoy sun and relax at the same time. The pool also is very well served with beds and a smal patio with armchairs and shadow. We got the luck to get upgraded to a junior suite which was fabulous. The mood is vintage and a little kitch, but I say this in a good way, we had an induction kitchen with a big fridg, a living room with a big screen and Sky, good WiFi, the bathroom is very large with a two place private jacuzzi, a real rock sink, probably restored from the original 1600 villa. The local restaurant is very good, thing proven by people coming to eat there from all around and also other hotels, with a gourmet menu full of fantasy and rooted to the local environment. Sweets are recommended also all house made.
If you are lucky enough you can also meet the local cats and kittens, which for my humble opinion gave the place a special aura. Staff is extremely professional and kind. Restaurant Staff is very educated on the plates they are serving, and fully professional, even if very young. Very wide wine selection. This place has to be an option if you are looking to relax in an enchanted place, cuddled and served, in a magic country reinassance mood. Romantic is definitely there!

Exceptional experience

My wife and I - an elderly couple - spent 5 lovely days at Capricci di Merion. The villa has few but specially furnished rooms, which gives the house an exceptional charm. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The house has a spa and an indoor and outdoor pool. The restaurant's cuisine is excellent. Tuoro is a very small place with little activity. Since the house is on the outskirts of the village, it is very quiet. We visited the cities of Assisi, Perugia and Siena from here.

A gem worth experiencing.

Made a last minute change to our itinerary and found this treasure near Lago Tresimeno had availability. A historic villa with modern updates in its unique suites and rooms. The spa is very deluxe and the onsite restaurant provides breakfast and is available for dinner. It rivals Michelin-starred eateries anywhere. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. Not far off the highway, but it seems like it is in another world. Service was wonderfully friendly and welcoming.
