Late summer weekend

Pet friendly hotel - at check-in we were given a dog welcome kit - cozy and great for a weekend as a couple, with friends, but also for those traveling alone. Excellent location for mountain walks and gourmet evenings in the country's restaurants. Definitely hearty breakfast with rich sweet / savory buffet. Try it!

The Hotel "La Lanterna" is a beautiful multi-storey building, located
in the vicinity of the cable car (Bernina Alpe Palù), in valmalenoc church.
I call on the phone to know info and prices, answered the owner Mr. Gianfranco immediately very kind and very courteous
we require to stay 2 nights, we will pay on our arrival, no problems.
being the week of mid-August 2024, unlike all other hotels contacted, Gianfranco does not place us under the obligation to make minimum 3 nights, am we occoglie with his wife in a very polite way.
with them at breakfast we talk about everything, from Trips undertaken, to art, to 'love for walks and wonders of Valmalenco.
excellent management, double room very nice and clean, welcome and courtesy top. Upon check out, talking about our dog, Mr. Gianfranco also gave us a doggy bag for the puppy, despite not having stayed with him these days, THANK YOU

Simplicity and tradition

This vintage hotel is definitely an excellent foothold in Chiesa in Valmalenco, equipped with everything you need including the sympathy of the owner Gianfranco and his wife always ready to have a word. The rooms are very clean and welcoming, the costs are absolutely affordable. For us motorcyclists finally, having a shelter for the bike is godsend...

Week in Valmalenco

I'm here right now and I have to say that in addition to the clean smell already on the stairs as you go to the room, and a welcome bag for my dog, we decided to have dinner here too and it was a nice surprise. Family cuisine with typical local dishes, pizzoccheri highly appreciated, but the polenta with braised meat was also very good and finally even a variety in the choice of closing the meal. Being the greedy person that I am, I ate a buckwheat cake with jam, I can say everything was excellent.
