Kind and professional staff, great stay

This Hotel made us feel at home during a difficult period, as we were visiting a family member in the local hospital after a bad accident. The Achat Suhl Team treated us with kindness, professionalism and empathy, and made a difficult stay that much easier.
Also very nice and clean rooms - the policy of cleaning only on request is sensible and works well imo. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Rooms can be a bit warm (we stayed in August-September), but that's the only small issue I could think of.

The single bed room is small but it works, staff are nice and speak english, there is no AC, but there is a fan in the room.

consider this one

Not a bad hotel for the price, the rooms are a bit small and can use an update ( and airco) but the location is nice. The breakfast buffet is great, better then expected
The wifi in the room was very bad and mostly not able to connect while it was fine in the bar and restaurant.

We were very satisfied!

Initially, after reading a number of reviews, I was skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised. I couldn't see the many "negative" points. The rooms were all clean, the bathrooms were immaculate, breakfast was great (the fact that it was a little delayed due to a large group arriving early in the morning was due to the circumstances and the staff reacted very well), overall the staff were friendly and accommodating and there was no problem with the 10 p.m. closing time rule(!), maybe it's like this: what goes around comes around. As I said, we were all satisfied and we're definitely a fun bunch!

Great staff, the rest leaves something to be desired

The reception and all the staff were extremely friendly and remarkably committed. This leads to the positive points.
Unfortunately, the hotel has retained its 70s charm. The rooms are not only in dire need of renovation, but they also have a lot of room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. The carpet has obviously retained the dirt of the past few years, the curtains are more than grey and when you open them, cobwebs float out.
This does not help to recommend the hotel.
The absolute highlight is the underground car park, which neither deserves the name nor is worth the price, and here too the history is crumbling from the walls.
It's all a real shame.
