Highly recommended in this region
This is a warm, family-run hotel that pays a lot of attention to its guests. I had a special question regarding transport and parking, and was helped immediately. Everyone makes you feel at home. The location is perfect and central to visit a lot of places. And the restaurant has a good menu. The schnitzel is highly recommended and the home-brewed beer is a must-try.

Once again a delight for all the senses!
We took a little family break again: my husband, my father and I arrived at the hotel on February 1st, 2024 in the afternoon and left again on Monday, February 5th, 2024 after a delicious breakfast.
The planning in advance was supervised by Ms. Bruse-Albus: she was very accommodating to our various requests (2 rooms next to each other; suitable for walkers; shower suitable for disabled people;...). We arrived outside of opening hours. Here, too, there was a concession: key in the locker with the corresponding access code, which was sent to us by email: This meant we could move into the rooms in the early afternoon without having to wait for the restaurant to open (5 p.m.).
Two rooms next to each other/on the ground floor awaited us: furnishings, size, view to the rear simply magnificent.
We were able to "switch off and enjoy" in just a few minutes. This was not only due to the quiet surroundings and atmosphere, or the great view of the Sauerland. The well-stocked breakfast buffet and the excellent à la carte dinner also made our hearts sing: "pampering" on all sides, there is no other way to describe it. The warm and courteous nature of the staff also contributed a lot to making us feel very comfortable and cared for as guests.
The swimming pool was open, so nothing stood in the way of cooling off and a relaxing swim. Towels were available. I was also able to use the sauna the next day after arrangement, even though I was the only person who wanted to take advantage of this offer. I was very grateful for that!
My father asked for a "senior's plate" in the evening, as the "normal" portions were too rich for him. This wish was granted - the portion (a little smaller) was prepared just as lovingly.
When we booked, we were able to take advantage of the "time out offer": on the second to last evening we were given 2 dishes to choose from: we were overwhelmed by the 2-course menu.
We were able to register friends who wanted to meet us for breakfast in the hotel at short notice - the table was enlarged and the meeting took place in a comfortable environment. Here, too, the hotel manager's generosity was evident. Thank you very much!
We will certainly plan some more "time out" at the Hotel Albus. It was good to be able to drive home rested and return to "normal everyday life".

Nice hotel, great location and a great restaurant
First time in this hotel. Received a lovely room with a panoramic view. The reception was very friendly. There was even a call regarding arrival. And then off to the restaurant. Super cozy interior, menu with a good selection. Starter and main course were very good. And a dark picture from the in-house brewery. Will definitely come back.

Relaxing stay, great views and stylish pool
Over the years I have driven past this hotel many times and it has always looked very appealing, with its picturesque setting and grand frontage. It was therefore my first choice when I had the opportunity to stay over night in the area. The hotel more than met my expectations and as well as the great views I found friendly and helpful staff, a stylish pool and wellness area and a very nice restaurant. It will not be def not be too long before I return :)

Traditional and very friendly
The hotel Albus is a very relaxing place to stay. The room was big with lovely views and very clean. They even brought me a mini fridge as it was so hot. The pool area is wonderful and although I didn’t use the sauna, the facilities are great. The breakfasts were plentiful with lots of choice. It is obviously a popular place to eat and have private parties and the outside area is spacious (picture inc) All in all, a wonderful week.
