highly recommended hotel

The Hotel Deinhard in Bernkastel we can highly recommend . Exceptional premises with various art objects . Very pleasant wellness area with beautiful views . Many activities can be undertaken on foot from there .

Super helpful staff

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Very comfortable rooms, breakfast and next door restaurant were great. Staff looked after me and my partner (who had a cycling accident while we were in Germany) so well - couldn't have been more helpful.

Hotel Deinhard's is an invaluable asset for the picturesque Moselle town of Bernkastel

In the old Bernkastel a new hotel in a prime location that sets standards. Standards for style and functionality, from the spacious foyer decorated with sculptures and paintings by an art-minded person to the airy, elegant rooms, which are second to none in terms of furnishings, colouring and lighting conditions (balconies, floor-to-ceiling windows, heavenly tranquillity, dreamlike mattresses).
In the Asian restaurant DIAN we ate seven, highest praise of all. In the breakfast restaurant you will find a rich offer in the best quality, you sit indoors or on the magnificent terrace with a view either into the vineyards and to the ruins of Burg Landshut or to the Moselle side with the ship moorings. Those who come by car park in the hotel's own sparkling clean underground car park, and those who have their bike with them park it in the adjoining locked bicycle cellar.
In this beautiful house, wherever you are, you will meet friendly and competent staff.
That's as much praise as you can get. If I may make a suggestion for improvement, it is that the Top Roof Bar still has some room for improvement in terms of charm. And with my Grappa, I'd like to have an espresso. But that is already whining at the highest level - at the level of top roof.

Perfect hotel in Bernkastel

Very clean hotel on the water, beautiful large rooms with and comfortable bed, a large underground parking, friendly reception at reception and friendly lady at breakfast room we could have breakfast on the outside terrace, our dog was very welcome, therefore we are for the second time in this hotel

Disappointing experience

Our stay at Deinhard's Hotel from 13 to 16 August 2024 was unfortunately disappointing. Beforehand we tried to extend our stay, but despite several phone calls we did not get a clear answer from the manager, who would always be present "the next day". Upon arrival our room turned out to be in a different building, which was explained to us in German. An English explanation offered little clarification, and we eventually had to seek help from a passer-by.
We chose the hotel because of the air conditioning, but it was only in the living room of the suite, resulting in bad nights due to the heat. The service at the bars was also substandard; on Thursday the lobby bar turned out to be closed and we were sent to the rooftop bar, where the terrace was already closed. Furthermore, at breakfast we had to wait regularly for additions.
At check-out we were not asked about our experience, and we were not given a receipt, so we had to drive back to pick this up. Given the amount of €1245 for three nights, parking garage and two bottles of wine, our stay was disappointing and we will not return.
