Excellent place to stay with beautiful landscape

I was there two months ago. Horní dvůr is a fantastic place to stay. The sleeping quality is amazing; you do not hear anything, just birds singing. The food is marvelous, they cook with the own garden products, making the dishes more special. If you want to drink, they have nice offers of wines and cognacs.The location is really good, because You can travel to other places in Visocina region easily. I recommend this place to everybody; in fact, I want to stay there again in my next trip to Visocina.

The booking I've made through Expedia was not honored. We were told the very day at the front desk that there was no room available and that was due to Expedia system failure. We were expelled and had to find another hotel in a neighboring town 30 minutes away by car, as all other hotels around were full.
Contacted immediately Expedia, but Expedia chat said that the booking cannot be cancelled as the "stay has already been engaged" and that the refund shall be dealt with the property. The property says I have to cancel with Expedia first. The phone call with Expedia agent that followed the chat was interrupted unilaterally as the agent"didn't hear me"!
The situation is outrageous. Expedia has confirmed me the booking was made and retrieved money from my card. Expedia should refund me, as it didn't live up to what they promised, and then, ask the property to refund it.
I urge Expedia to take immediate action along this line.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, great food

We stayed for two nights on our road trip through eastern Europe. Everything is a bit old but very clean. The food was great for an absolutely decent price. We even got to charge our Tesla on the regular 220V socket at no extra charge.

Not good value for your money - restaurant review

115,- for soup? With no smile, very slow service, food too salty and luke warm. I don’t understand why the prices for food are so high, I’d expect excellent service and homemade bread with the soup for this price. No, thanks.

Very nice hotel with EXCELLENT food

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, the landscape, the decor and the rooms. I think it is family run so the staff is not always at the front but as long as you are patient it should not impact your overall experience.
I ate dinner here my first night, I had the pork with mushrooms and roasted vegetables, and it was by far the best meal of my entire trip. Breakfast was great as well. If I visit the area again I would definitely stay at this hotel.
