Very good bar experience

Went to the bar 2 nights in a row and Daniel was working , he was VERY sweet and attentive. We had great conversation and gave us some history of the place. Daniel is AMAZING if you are here you need to come to the bar and visit him. He makes excellent drinks as well!

Lobby is nice -ends there. Room (and we were upgraded mind you) was incredibly dated with dirty carpets mold everywhere

Ends at the lobby a very dated room (and we were upgraded) dirty carpets, filthy washcloths, mold on ac return and the curtains that don’t close -the hairdryer was at least 25 years old -no phone chargers or plugs for them. Just very disappointing

Our room stank of smoke.

The hotel is very central so good for sightseeing but not great at night for meals out as - like a lot of city centres - it isn't in a particularly nice neighbourhood. We felt perfectly safe out and about though. The hotel itself seems very dated. We were on the 11th Floor and you can't open the windows. Our room stank of stale smoke despite the hotel being 'non smoking'. I guess the smoke has pretty much penetrated the fabric of the building during the time when smoking was more acceptable. The bathroom was very basic, as was the room. But everything worked OK. Breakfast was nice. No idea about lunch and dinner as we ate out. 2 days was enough there. A reasonably price - hence average grading.

Smelly room

We arrived exhausted after a flight from the UK and the first thing we noticed when we walked into our room on the 11th floor was the stink of smoke. This is a non -smoking hotel... We were too tired to go down and try for an alternative room and guessed that a number of the rooms would be in a similar state as the hotel was obviously in need of a bit of TLC. Our room just felt exhausted... So we just put up with it for 2 days. Our room was dark and gloomy but the bed was fine, the air con was OK and the shower worked very well.So it was fine for the 2 nights we were there. Any longer would have been too much. If we ever returned we would attempt to get a real non-smoking room!

This is a very good property. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. I liked the location. The kitchen was very good. Breakfast buffet was excellent.
