Second Time Staying Here

Second time staying here to attend a concert at Qudos Arena. It’s bare basics, as per last time, which suited us fine for one night. I’m surprised some of these reviews are expecting anything other than this, considering “Budget” is literally in the name. It’s not a fancy hotel. It’s a safe bed, a tiny shower, coffee making gear and a toilet. That’s it. Which, when you’re only staying one night, is what you want. It’s a quick walk to Qudos, which is the whole point. We got parking this time too, which was very helpful.

Internet in the room was extremely slow 0.1mbps while in the lobby it’s 10mbps. Not possible to work in the room. There was no amenities within the room. Remember to bring your own bath slippers. Only two bottles of 3-in-1 (shampoo-body-hand wash), kettle was available but the sink was so shallow that you need to tilt the kettle to allow half of whatever you filled in the kettle out just to remove the kettle from the sink. no phone in the room so each time you go down to feedback they say they will look into it and no one will get back to you.
The toilet and bath is too separate cubicle just enough for you to go in to turn around and get out.
They came in only on the third day to change the tower and didn’t top up the soap, change the bedsheet not make the bed. No power cable beside the bed, however there’s one bed light operable with a small switch. Room light is only at the keycard so quite annoying. The TV is so high up it’s only possible to watch when you are resting on the bed.
2 lift that’s very slow moving and the breakfast is just, pancake, bread (fruit, multi-grain, white), some fruits, yogurt, pastries, cereals, milk coffee.
One thing good about the room is the aircon is quite chill.

Budget and Convenient Stay

Small room, good for 1 or couple. Hotel was a little run down in places.
Convenient location to Olympic Park Venues, easy walk to all venues.
Breakfast was fresh and staff were all friendly.

Room felt dated and not overly clean, could do with some tlc, breakfast was adequate, overall 110$ a night I feel you may get better value elsewhere.

We get value for money:-(
Room cramped for 4 (well we knew) but the bathroom space is separated from the room by a curtain. Not great. The bedding was bad, we thought we would rest after 10 days in Van....the bedding of the campervan was better. Average breakfast with inefficient staff, table not cleared, few choices, and nutella pot that goes from table to table... in short it was not very expensive (although) we know why.
