Great customer service

Minor issue was dealt with quick and efficiently by management. Very helpful and accommodating.Meal was fantastic for our large group all served together which was an accomplishment in itself, great hospitality. Lovely place, great staff, great management

Love it so much we got married there.

We are big fans of Tweedies and regularly choose to stay here over anywhere else in Grasmere. Laura, Aimee and the team could not be more helpful. The rooms are always great and the breakfast is top notch. Definitely try the Fish and Chips in the pub. The lounge room is wonderful in winter with the log fire on. We love it so much we decided to get married here and we had an intimate ceremony of just 20. It was perfect. could not recommend more highly.

Relaxing, comfortable stay

The hotel is lovely. It is central to Grasmere village. The accommodation and food is good. The staff are pleasant. They are dog friendly both at the hotel and bar.
The bar attached to the hotel is good. It serves good food and a range of drinks. We would definitely come back.

Cold Afternoon in Tweedies Bar

Barn of a place with no heating late Wednesday afternoon. Lots of beer choice but was the most expensive in my week in Grasmere/ Ambleside.. Unhelpful barman didnt light the small stove. Would be good in Summer with lots of outdoor seating however but not a winter afternoon.

2 Night Stay

Quite disappointed stayed in the Mews for 30-31st December for my husbands Birthday, room was quite shabby and needs updating radiator in bathroom not working even though I asked for someone to come and fix it, But the main problem was the mattress on the the bed you could actually feel the springs so did not sleep well on the first night and again I had reported this so second day spoke to reception and asked for the mattress to be changed this was done but did not help with no sleep on the fist night. :(
