A little bit old but reasonable ,interesting architecture.Rooms are wide and well furnished ,had no water one morning.... For a down town visite of Dakar a good place to go.Price and value are ok.

Safety box was out off order, caffe automatic out off order.
When we checked out in the reception, the officer said, that the room price includes only ONE breakfast
and he charged another price or we must pay Five Breakfast more, because we were five nights there.

Best stay in Dakar so far

I'm a native of Dakar and la Villa Racine is my best and favorite hotel downtown Dakar. I booked there by accident because most of the other properties in the area were fully booked. What a pleasant surprise! I was greeted with an upgrade to a suite on arrival. I discovered a fantastic accommodation with plenty of space and comfort. The style was unusual but the suite was quiet and perfect for resting and relaxing. I went up to the top floor for dinner where I had a great meal, nothing gastronomic, but freshly cooked and reasonably priced. The next 2 mornings, I had an excellent yet simple breakfast made up of eggs cooked to my liking and fresh bread and croissant, the best and freshest by far better than what parisian cafés serve. The only thing I wasn't too impressed with was the internet speed which needs to be upgraded. Other than that, the staff were welcoming and nice. Definitely the best place I've stayed at in Dakar. No question.

Villa Racine

Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean and spacious room with tv and an espresso machine. Although not many people use the restaurant, in fact I was the only one three nights running, the food was excellent.
It is situated centrally, near the port. Lots of taxis are nearby.

Beautiful place with a beautiful decor. It’s really different from all other hotels around Dakar. Must stay place. The location is also great. Near all the shops, market and casino. Also great restaurants in the neighborhood
