Chill vibes in Roma
Fab hotel-hostel. Chill vibes, lovely building and ok location, with great staff. Nice room and cool decor throughout . Cafe was good value.
Staff were super helpful arranging delivery of some items I hired for the weekend.

Hostel Review: April 1st-3rd
This review reflects my personal experience at the hostel from April 1st to 3rd.
Positives:
Location: The hostel's location was fantastic! It was easy to get around and explore the area. Convenient access to public transportation and local attractions was a major plus.
Atmosphere: I found the overall atmosphere to be quite welcoming and pleasant. The common areas were comfortable and inviting.
Negatives:
Bedsheet: I was disappointed to find that I had to make my own bed upon arrival. This wasn't clearly communicated beforehand and felt inconvenient.
Pillow: Pillow was provided, it wasn't enough for comfortable sleeping.
Early Cleaning: The cleaning staff arrived far too early, disturbing my rest before check-out time. More respect for guest schedules is needed.
Missing Toiletries: My personal items, including toothpaste and sunscreen, went missing.

About the bed setup — totally get that it might’ve been unexpected. In most hostels, especially in dorms, it's common that the bed isn’t made beforehand. In our case, we’ve made sure to show this clearly in the photos so guests know what to expect... so maybe not such a big surprise after all?
As for the pillow, we know comfort can be super personal — some like it fluffy, some like it firm. Most guests find them just right, but if you ever need an extra one, just let us know! We’re always happy to bring more.
Big apologies for the early housekeeping disturbance. That’s definitely not how we want our guests to start their day, and we’ll double-check with the team to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
About your missing items — did you check in with the front desk? It might’ve been a misunderstanding; sometimes housekeeping thinks left-behind items belong to guests who’ve already checked out. Or, in a shared space, it's also possible that another guest picked them up by mistake. Either way, we’re really sorry that happened.

Incredible place to stay
The location is great, only a 10 minute walk from Fontana di Trevi, 15 minutes from the Pantheon and 20 minutes from the Colosseum. The rooms are spacious with large padlockable drawers to store luggage. The food and drink at the restaurant/bar is delicious and so reasonably priced considering the location in central Rome. There's plenty of social areas to hang out and have a good time, or to just chill out if you like your own company like myself. The staff are all absolutely incredible and so friendly, but special shout out to Simone, who made my trip to JO&JOE so welcoming, I couldn't have higher praises for his service and personality! I would absolutely stay again just for the service and people alone.
Only downside is, although comfortable, the beds are very loud. Woke up quite a few times in the night, not just from my roommates turning over, but from myself as well.

The place is very nice 🤩 clean, tidy, and full of color. It was originally a church but has been reconstructed into a hostel. I especially liked the relaxation room on the second floor, which was a great spot for a freelancer to work.
They also offer a discounted price for breakfast when you check in, but I didn’t find it worth it since the food was mostly sweet.
