Great hotel
The hotel is located right next to BER airport (5min walk to the terminal). We had booked a family room that was large and modern. However, there are two small things that were not quite optimal in the room. First, the couch that served as a third bed was a bit uncomfortable. Secondly, the bathroom is a little noisy.
Otherwise everything was fine. The staff was friendly, the room clean and the breakfast was also fine.
In conclusion, the Intercityhotel am BER is the better alternative compared to the Steigenberger Hotel right next door.

Not bad for a couple of three nights.
A small number. Tea making facilities are there, but that's it.
No slippers or bathrobes. Safe is not available. There are no disposable cosmetic sets in the bathroom.
Cleaning leaves a lot to be desired! It's not nice to see other people's hair on the bed:(
Breakfast is modest (for sandwiches, snacks are fine), but surprisingly nowhere to find porridge.
The location is excellent : near the airport and trains.

Location Unbeatable
A 5-minute walk from Terminal 1 and 2 of Berlin Airport.
Very practical if you have a flight first thing in the morning.
Hotel with modern decor and receptionists who speak several languages.
Spacious and bright rooms, with a complimentary mineral water in the room itself.
Bright and spacious bathrooms.
As amazing as it seems and less than 5 minutes from the terminal, the soundproofing of the rooms is perfect. You can't hear a single plane or noise from the surrounding rooms. Sleep quality of 10.
As the only glue, they have another hotel with the same name in terminal T5. My Trips Agency booked a room without knowing that there were two hotels with the same name and when I arrived at reception they told me that my Reservation was at the other hotel for which I had to catch a taxi the evening and the next morning and get up even earlier. They called to try to cancel it, but no one picked up their phone several times, even if they were from the same company, so I lost the 80 euros of my Reservation at their other hotel and had to pay 119 euros to stay at the one in this terminal.
Watch where you book!!
I think they could have made me pay the difference from one to the other, considering that I had the Reservation for more than two weeks and they are hotels of the same company and they had the other room completely free and unused.
I lost 120 euros.

2 nights comfy layover
I had recently stayed in this new modern airport hotel in between my trips and can honestly stay it’s a strong competition to the Steigenberger next door. Check in was quick end efficient and the receptionist gave me the opportunity to choose the floor I wanted to stay on. I had been allocated a pleasantly specious corner room, equipped with all the modern and functional amenities. It was clean and well presented. Not only I had the option to open both of the windows ( an absolute must for me as I prefer to have access to fresh air) but was also glad to see they use classic old style hangers instead of unpractical detachable ones that can be found in most of hotels these days. All sockets were well located and easily reachable, bed was comfy and the I enjoyed a good quality sleep under a warm and soft duvet. Bathroom had a good, modern design and again was very well equipped. Only the shower pressure could have been stronger, but I guess it is on the lower floors of the hotel and I stayed on the 4th (not a major issue anyway). Buffet breakfast had a decent selection of products with a variety of different kinds of milk including soya, almond and lactose free. I also tried the chicken Thai bowl for lunch served in an open space cafe/bar next to the lobby and enjoyed a pint of refreshing white lager.
Many thanks to the kind lady at the reception who gave me a free train ticket I could use for my trip city center. Overall an excellent stay and I hope the hotel will maintain its good standards of service in the future.

Everything was good except pillow cargo soft. Looks big and fluffy but your head sinks in the pillow and there is not support.
