In accordance with Colombian tax law, foreign citizens and nonresident Colombian citizens who receive certain stamps or visas upon entry into the country will be exempt from paying the 19% VAT tax. The exemption will only apply in certain cases to be reviewed at the reception. The travel documentation with the stamp or visa granted must be presented upon arrival. The credit card details provided must be in the name of the holder of the reservation and present it at the time of check-in, otherwise, he has the right to request a new card in order to maintain the reservation.

For stays on or after January 1, 2023, residents of Colombia and non-residents staying 60 consecutive days or more will be charged a 19% national sales tax by the property at the time of stay. Travelers on a tourist visa will not be required to pay this tax. The tax may be charged where a room is shared by a taxable and a non-taxable guest.
